Adult Choir
OUR WORSHIP LEADING CHOIRThe Adult Choir of First Baptist Church is a “Worship Leading Choir”! By “worship leading choir” we mean that our choir not only presents great choral music, but we also take very seriously our role in supporting our congregational worship. Our choir realizes that we must connect with God’s people in worship—not just perform for them. How we sound and how we express ourselves affects our corporate worship. And because of this important worship leading role, the choir works hard preparing the music for the choir AND congregation. At choir rehearsal, we worship as we practice all the various songs to be sung during Sunday Worship, so we can lead God’s people effectively. The Choir understands that “it’s not all about us—but rather, it’s all about God”. Ministering to a wide variety of musical tastes, we try hard to effectively blend the very best of traditional, classical and contemporary styles through the choir repertoire. Our prayer is that God will use our choir for His honor and glory each Sunday. The choir also shares the gospel with our community through the Easter Pageant, Living Christmas Tree, and Patriotic Spectacular.
